PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Are your products CAPS compliant?
All of our products are compiled based on the CAPS document. Since changes are regularly made to the CAPS document, we revise our products annually to ensure we keep up to date with the current CAPS document.
Our Senior IEB products are compiled according to the CAPS and SAGS documents and are also revised annually.
What is in a bundle?
A bundle contains all the Textbook and Workbooks of that particular grade at a more cost-effective price.
Grade 4–7: Textbook and Workbook 1 and Textbook and Workbook 2
Physical Sciences Grade 10–11: Physics Textbook and Workbook and Chemistry Textbook and Workbook
Physical Sciences Grade 12: Physics Textbook and Workbook and Chemistry Textbook and Workbook 1 and 2
Physical Sciences IEB: Senior Physics Textbook and Workbook 1 and 2 and Chemistry Textbook and Workbook 1 and 2
Technical Sciences Grade 12: Textbook and Workbook 1 and 2
Is a bundle one book with both parts in?
No, you will still receive the separate books.
Do the bundles have their own ISBN number?
No, the bundles do not have their own ISBN number.
Do the bundles include the Answer Books?
The bundles do not include the Answer Books. The Answer Books are sold separately.
What is the difference between the colour and the black and white books?
The content is either printed in black and white or in colour. The content is exactly the same. The covers of both versions are printed in colour.
What is in the Preparation File?
Preparation Files have been compiled to assist teachers with their admin.

Can I view the PowerPoints?
The PowerPoints have been created to assist with teacher’s presentation in class.
Please request a sample on the product page to receive a free sample of the PowerPoint content.
Do the PowerPoints contain video material?
The PowerPoints only contain PowerPoint presentations that are based on the Doc Scientia Textbook and Workbooks. No video material is included.
What is the difference between Natural Sciences and Natural Sciences and Technology?
Natural Sciences and Technology contains a section of Technology in every term and is the source of choice for most schools.
Natural Sciences do not contain any theory on Technology. Only some of the schools use this option.
You can always check the ISBN number to ensure you are purchasing the correct book.
Where can I get a hold of your e-books?
All e-books can be purchased from Snapplify or ITSI.
Will I be able to print the e-book once I have purchased it?
All our e-books are copyright protected. Therefore, you will not be able to print any of the content.
Can I order directly from you and how does it work?
Yes, you can order directly from us. Please complete an order form and you will receive a quotation. If you accept your quotation, please make payment and send proof of payment to finance@docscientia.co.za. Once payment is received, your order will be processed and sent via The Courier Guy. You will receive a tracking number once the parcel has been collected.
Do you keep stock on hand?
Yes, we do.
But we don't want to waste your time. We want to be prepared for your arrival.
Therefore, we recommend you call beforehand to ensure we have the stock you need.
EXAM PAPERS QUESTIONS
How do I know what subject the exam paper covers?
Doc Scientia specialises in science.
The Grade 4–6 papers are only for Natural Sciences and Technology.
The Grade 7–9 papers are only for Natural Sciences.
The Grade 10–11 papers are only for Physical Sciences or Technical Sciences.
The Grade 11 IEB papers are only for Physical Sciences.
How do I know what topics are covered in each paper?
For Grade 4–9 the topics are as follow:
March test: Term 1 is covered.
June exam paper: Term 1 and 2 are covered.
September test: Term 3 is covered.
November exam paper: Term 3 and 4 are covered.
For Grade 10–11 the topics are as follow:
March test: Term 1 is covered.
June exam paper: Term 1 and 2 are covered.
September test: Term 3 is covered.
November exam paper: Terms 1–4 are covered.
Why do you not supply Grade 12 exam papers?
There are free DoE exam papers that you can download on our website.
How will I get the exam paper I bought on the website?
After payment you will receive a link via e-mail to download the paper.
Who do I contact if I can’t download the papers?
Please send us an email to info@docscientia.co.za or call us on 010 443 7198 and we will assist you.
Do you only sell science papers?
Yes, we only specialise in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences and Technical Sciences.
DELIVERY QUESTIONS
How long does delivery take?
Delivery depends on the area we send it to. Delivery normally takes place between 5–7 working days after the invoice date. It will be sent with the most cost-effective option. Once your order has been sent, we will send you the tracking number.
When can I expect my parcel?
You will receive a tracking number once your order has been sent. You can track your parcel on The Courier Guy website. We do our best to have your parcel delivered within 5–7 days from the date of invoice.
What will I pay for delivery?
Delivery depends on the area we have to send it to. We make use of The Courier Guy. Your delivery fee will be displayed on your quotation.
Can I rather collect if I don't want to pay for delivery?
Yes, you may collect your order during our office hours. Please use coupon code COLLECTION at checkout to prevent shipping charge.
You'll be notified as soon as your parcel is ready.

You can arrange your couriers to collect. Please ensure they pick up during our office hours.
PAYMENT QUESTIONS
Can I only pay for exam papers through Payfast?
Yes, but Payfast has a variety of options: EFT, credit card or SnapScan.
My payment doesn’t want to work. Why?
Please make sure you have the latest TLS version to do the payment. Click here for a handy online tool to check this.
Can I pay upon collection?
Yes, we have card facilities available, or you can pay via EFT.
Unfortunately, you cannot pay CASH. We are a cashless office.
